VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE

CHANGES IN THE WINTER ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING LAW

As was mentioned in the Spring Newsletter your village board has been
forced to make some adjustments to the Winter Odd-Even Parking Laws:

Effective November 1, 2009 the Odd-Even Parking Law will change as listed:

Effective for 24 hours beginning at 5 PM. "PARK FOR TOMORROW" (Previously Midnight to 7AM)

Example: on December 1St, on or after 5PM park your vehicle on the Even Side of the Street.
ALL STREETS in the Village will have 24 hour alternate parking except the following:
(Previously the law did not apply to one side only parking.)

Miller St. (0ne Way) - Parking on S.West Side Only.

No Parking allowed any time on these listed roads:
Church St.
Old State Road - Chenango to Rt.7.
Beacon St. - between Chenango and Kirkwood Ave.

Last winter we experienced numerous problems due to residents leaving their vehicles on the streets during snow storms and clean up.

If a vehicle is parked illegally it will be towed at the owner's expense (inc. storage costs)
to expedite safe snow removal with reasonable consideration by our Police Department.

CANADIAN GEESE IN OUR PARKS
For over 10 years he Village has been attempting to eliminate and prevent the Canadian Geese from creating a mess in our parks. This situation is made worse as the fields within the park are where several youth sports are played.

Over these years we have spent well over $20,000 in an attempt to alleviate this problem:

See Letter from Trustee Corcoran regarding geese.

Update - Nov 27, 2007:

We have just received fake coyotes (Lifelike stalking coyote's) for placement in the Park. They will be moved around on a random basis. Trustee Ed Corcoran has a lot of knowledge on Canadian geese and can give you whatever you need. 724-1965.

Village Elections:

Offices up for election -
There are 2 Trustee seats up for election each year.
The Mayor's seat is up for election every 2 years (during the even numbered years).
